As the world was closing up at the beginning of 2020 I took the last few weekends to stock up. I researched and then went to the craft store. I bought materials that I could use for the long term-- paper in a variety of colors and weights, new glue gun-- Surebonder and extra bags of glue sticks. I remember the internal conversation I had-- cordless, thin nozzle or regular nozzle, big was good but a smaller glue gun would be more manageable, and what was up with all those colors of glue sticks?! I ended up buying one type one weekend and returning the next weekend, with coupon in hand for the thinner nozzle. When the world closed down, I stayed home and created my way through those long days of the unknown.
I consider my glue gun as my silent partner in crafting. My glue gun helps me finish the deal. When all the other glues let you down, you know that you can count on your hot glue gun to come through for you in almost every situation! Low temp or high temp? It’s quick, clear and always near!
My day job is creating the social media and pr for a local library. Nights and weekends are when I get the chance to build, make and create. I don’t often make the same thing twice. I like it that way.
In one sentence describe...
1. What it is you create/craft:
I like to take something and turn it into something else. A two dimensional piece of paper can easily be transformed into a new shape which in turn can be combined and transformed further into something else.
2. What is your favorite Surebonder product:
The handy dandy glue gun (Surebonder dual temp mini size, DT-200F). It was under twenty dollars and can fit easily into a drawer when not in use.
